Based in Palmerston North, ki-wifi launched in 2023 as a sister company to Aerial Master – a company installing Sky TV, Inspire.net, Freeview, and Starlink. We noticed our customer’s problems with Wi-Fi dropping off in the middle of Zoom meetings, a movie, or other important communication causing a lot of stress, and realised we could sort this out for them relatively easily. We also knew that people often didn’t know who to call about their Wi-Fi problems, or they felt intimidated by technical jargon, or they just didn’t really know how to describe their problem. There just wasn’t an easy choice for regular people to talk to about their Wi-Fi issues. After we sourced quality, accessible Wi-Fi products we decided to 'make it better' by creating ki-wifi – a Wi-Fi service by regular people, for regular people.
